If you imagine this covering most of the floor space not occupied by furniture, you can understand the challenge it can be to cross the living room without stepping on toys that seem to be designed to inflict as much pain as possible on an adult foot. Some days, the mess also spreads into the kitchen, because Ethan's favorite place to play is in the doorway between the two rooms. It drives his father nuts! But at least Ethan is good about cheerfully picking them up each night.

Yeah, Legos hurt! So do little green Army guys. And little tanks. And so do little doll hairbrushes. Sigh. And just think, Christmas is right around the corner. ;0)
Just wait until it's nails, wire, tools, scissors, parts and pieces of things that you can't even identify! AND modeling clay (for Claymation, of course!)
And don't forget the PAPER!!! Ron loves to cut it up and tape it back together and Trevor loves to fold (origami) it!!! Argh!
