Quote of the day

Ethan is very excited at the prospect of the weekend, because it means no school. His reason is very simple.

"If there's no school, then there's no waste of time!"

Not to lay blame or anything, but that's Luke's son talking.

Ron thinks (some sort of "deal" with dad... I had no input) that if he pulls straight "A's" this semester that he'll be getting a laptop for Christmas! He IS a good student and always has gotten good grades... but there's a hint of some junior high, teenage type of slacking that is keeping us on our toes... and breathing down his neck.

He certainly is Ethan's cousin... because you should see my face, when he comes home talking about doing extra credit work, and staying in for recess to do that extra credit work, to bring his grades up to A and A+!

This is not my son. And Dave said, "Oh don't worry"... like he wouldn't pull it off. HA!

Ah, the deals an unsuspecting parent makes! :) It will be interesting to see if Ronnie gets his laptop!

You know, just like Luke at that age, Ethan is a smart little guy. I think he'll probably do well in school. But also just like Luke at that age, he thinks that playing is a much more worthwhile endeavor.
