My wonderful son, who usually delights in grossing me out, just delighted me tonight. He told me, "Mama, I know what 'betwixt' means. It means between."
Now, I may be a bit biased, but I don't know that most 5-year-olds would know that.
See, this is why it's fun to homeschool, despite the fact that he tends to heave exaggerated sighs over having to practice handwriting.

Wait til he starts doing reading comprehension work. If he's anything like his father, he'll be crying, falling off chairs, and flopping all over to avoid doing his homework. Oh, the joys of a big sister; in a multi-grade school room, no less. And yet, look how great he turned out. ;0)
Luke denies any knowledge of any incident such as you mentioned. :) He does agree, however, that he turned out pretty darn great. He also says the dramatic streak must run in the family, as he recalls something about a phone call to a post office ...?
As far as Ethan, that's part of the reason why I'm planning on using narration for at least some of our comprehension work. And, while he is very much like his father, he tends to be more of a "talker" than a "watcher" when it comes to learning styles, too. So that may help.
I have no idea what he's talking about! Ha!
Okay, you two, spill the beans... you got to see ALL my temper tantrums and drama fits... now I want to hear the rest of the story!!!
Your big sister! ;)
